SIMOSEC 12, the new air-insulated medium voltage switchgear was launched in Siemens Medium Voltage Switchgear Technology (Wuxi) Ltd. (SMVS) on July 17th. Tailored-made for the Chinese market, it offers highest quality as welded sealed-for-life switchgear vessel, which boasts the advantages of little leakage, defrosting and less discharge. The equipment can be widely used in utilities and industries in China. Siemens also offers flexible cooperation with partners by providing purchasing options from core parts, top units, light panel to complete panel.
By leveraging Siemens global R&D network and its wealth of experience accumulated in air-insulated switchgear for secondary distribution systems, the SMVS customized and localized the new SIMOSEC 12 switchgear for the local market. The equipment is manufactured at the SMVS, who has been successfully deploying its medium voltage switchgears for more than 10 years in China.

Equipped with the latest manufacturing technology by Siemens AG and with imported machinery, the joint venture, as the leading company in Medium Voltage technology, produces state-of-the-art ceramic vacuum interrupters, vacuum circuit breakers (VCB) and switchgears, which have the advantages of boundless reliability. The products meet both local Chinese and IEC standards. The effective technical support from Siemens AG ensures that the SMVS offers complete after-sales service and technical support to its customers.
