Siemens extends hands to needy residents in Wangjing District

Today, Siemens Ltd., China donated RMB 300,000 to low income families in Wangjing District through Beijing Chaoyang Charity Association. As a long-term and responsible partner, Siemens has always fully contributed to the sustainable development of Chaoyang District. Siemens donates 100,000 RMB to Shanghai Charity Foundation Yangpu Branch

Today, Siemens Ltd., China donated 100,000 RMB to Shanghai Charity Foundation Yangpu Branch. As a long-term and responsible partner, Siemens has always fully contributed to the sustainable development of Yangpu in various fields, such as the Siemens Center Shanghai with a total investment of 710 million RMB which will be the new green "landmark" of Shanghai located in Yangpu, and the strategic partnership on energy-saving, etc. Following those efforts, today's donation is another visible sign to reiterate the strong commitment to realizing the EXPO vision "Better City, Better Life" through joint efforts from Siemens and Yangpu. "John Rabe House Development Fund" Established

The Opening of the John Rabe House after renovation in October 2006 did not mark a full stop. It was the kick-off of even stronger and widened efforts to promote Sino-German friendship and international cultural exchange. After Renovation: John Rabe House unveiled

Doors are open for the new John Rabe House. With the joint Sino-German four-party efforts, the John Rabe House, after almost one year, is accomplished renovation. Siemens promotes social welfare in Jiangsu province

Siemens Automation and Drives Group (A&D) and its business partner Nanjing Langchi Group M&E Co., Ltd jointly donated 166,000 RMB to local social welfare entities. The funds were raised by the auction of Siemens A&D’s first locally-produced standard motor. Nanjing Langchi Group M&E Co., Ltd placed the winning bid for the motor with RMB 83,000, and this amount was subsequently matched by Siemens A&D. The donation will be used to help local people suffering from natural disasters in the Northern areas of Jiangsu province, to improve the life of elderly and orphans as well as to help university students from poor families. SEDL donated to Tianjin Municipal Children's Welfare Center

Siemens Electrical Drives Ltd. (SEDL) donated RMB25,000 to Tianjin Municipal Children's Welfare Center on International Children's Day. The donation will be used to improve the facilities and better the living conditions of the children in the Center. (June 2006)

 
 

Siemens committed to the charity cause in Zhejiang

At the "2006 Caring Hands Charity Auction Night" jointly hosted by Siemens, Zhejiang Business Council, Zhejiang TV Qian Jiang Metropolis Channel and Zhejiang Charity Federation, Siemens donated two most advanced refrigerators hand-painted by famous Chinese artists. The auction aimed to provide support for poverty-stricken people in Zhejiang province, who have made outstanding contributions to help others. (April 2006)
