Siemens was granted China Charity Award, the most prestigious charity award of China in recognition of the company's outstanding efforts in corporate social responsibilities particularly in China's recent disaster relief and its diverse charity practices. Siemens was among the top 48 in foreign enterprise category and the only world-leading infrastructure company to win this award. This Award, organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, reflects the sustained commitment of the Chinese Government to working together with enterprises to achieve balanced development of the country and construct a harmonious society.(December 2008)

Siemens was awarded 2008 Global Responsibility – China Action Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in Beijing today, becoming the only world-leading infrastructure company to win the CSR Award for the second consecutive year since its inauguration. The Award, initiated and sponsored by China Business Journal and China Economist, further recognized Siemens' commitment to the sustainable development of China and a harmonious society, especially in the year of 2008 which was marked by the unprecedented efforts of the Chinese people to fight natural disaster. Siemens China was awarded as among the "Top 25 Most Admired Companies in China" in Beijing today, the only world-leading infrastructure company in the award list. This is the forth consecutive year that the award is granted to Siemens China for its outstanding contribution to China and the local community. Ms. Jill Lee, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive Vice-President of Siemens Ltd., China attended the awarding ceremony and received the award.(April 2008)

The Best Global Companies Performing Corporate Social Responsibilities Award was held at Diaoyutai Guest House on Tuesday, November 28, 2007, This Award recognizes excellence among global companies' best practices in charity, public interest, environmental protection and other social responsibilities across China.  (November 2007)

On September 28, 2007, Siemens China received the "Guangming CSR Award 2007 for Multinational Corporations in China". The ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People. It is the fourth consecutive year for Siemens China to win this award.  (September 2007)

On April 27, Siemens Ltd., China received the award "The Most Admired Enterprises China 2006 Award" for its excellent performance in corporate social responsibility and public recognition and reputation. The most remarkable thing is that this is the third time for Siemens Limited China to win the Award. "The Most Admired Enterprises China Award" was initiated by the Management Case Center of Peking University and The Economic Observer in 2001. It has been running for 6 years and this award appraisal has become one of the most famous CSR awards in China. Dr. Hausmann, President and CEO of Siemens China, personally received the award and made a speech with the theme of "Balance" to more than two thousand audience.  (April 2007) 

Siemens is awarded as one of the ten 2006 CCTV Best Employers, Shanghai Region. The awarding ceremony was held on March 29th in Shanghai. Dr. Meng Fanchen, Senior Vice President of Siemens China and General Manager of Siemens Shanghai received the award at the ceremony and joined in the panel discussion on behalf of Siemens. This award is jointly organized by CCTV and China Business News, Siemens is the only infrastructure company in the winner list. (March 2007) 

Siemens China received "The Best Enterprise Public Image 2006" and "The Best Enterprise for Corporate Social Responsibility" awards in recognition of its outstanding performance in the area of corporate brand communication, profitability and business relations, broad public recognition and good reputation. The awards are initiated and organized by the Enterprise Research Institute under the Development Research Center of the State Council, P. R. China, China Credit Research Center of Peking University, Sohu and Guanghua Media and the results was decided through online public voting and review of 100 experts. (January 2007)

On Dec. 6, 2006, Siemens Limited, China (SLC) received the "2006 China Best CSR Practice" award for its outstanding contribution to the corporate citizenship activities in China. This prestigious award was granted by the 21st Century Business Herald, one of the most influential business presses in China. (December, 2006)

VA TECH ELIN Transformer Guangzhou Co., Ltd.(ETGZ), an operating company of Power Transmission and Distribution Group(PTD), was awarded "Excellent Enterprise of Guangdong Province". The award was presented by the Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Association, based on an assessment of key factors including business size, profitability and growth rate. (April 2006)

Siemens Electrical Drives Ltd. (SEDL) was awarded "Double Good Enterprise with Foreign Investment in 2005". The award was issued by China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, Tianjin Foreign Investment Office and Tianjin Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment in recognition of SEDL's outstanding contribution to the economic and social development of Tianjin.  (June 2006)

Siemens was voted as "China's Most Popular Employer Amongst University Students" for the fourth year running in an online survey conducted by China HR.com, one of China's largest and most authoritative professional recruitment websites. The result was based on 91,602 valid votes colleted from 632 universities in China.  (June 2006)

Siemens' strategic cooperation project with East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in industrial automation education was awarded "Top 10 Cooperation Projects between Chinese Universities and Multinational Enterprises in 2006". The award was given by the Science & Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education in recognition of Siemens' outstanding contributions to supporting China's education and promoting exchanges and cooperation with Chinese universities.  (June 2006)

Mr. Erdal Elver, General Manager of Jiangsu Province, was awarded the "Distinguished Guest of Yangzhou" title. This honor was presented by Yangzhou municipal government to appreciate Siemens' contribution to Yangzhou's social and economic development.  (April 2006)

Dr. Klaus Kleinfeld, President and CEO of Siemens AG, was awarded an Honorable Professorship from China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP) in recognition of Siemens commitment for long-term engagement and contribution in the advanced management and leadership training for Chinese government and business leaders.  (April 2006)

Siemens China has been selected as one of the top 25 "Most valuable brands in China". Conducted by Fortune China Magazine, the Chinese edition of the leading global business magazine and one of the most reputable and influential business magazines in China, the award was given based on a readership survey of 5,000 Fortune China readers in 26 provinces and municipalities in China.  (March 2006)

In recognition of Siemens innovation leadership and trendsetting capabilities, Prof. Claus Weyrich, Head of Siemens AG Corporate Technology and Member of the Siemens AG Management Board, was awarded the honorary title of "Innovation Advisor to Shanghai's Yangpu District" at the first" Innovation and EXPO 2010 Forum" taking place on February 21st, 2006 . Siemens Signaling Co., Ltd., (SSCX) based in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, received "Excellent Foreign-Invested Enterprise" and "Excellent Tax-Payer" awards for 2005 from Xi'an Economic & Technological Development Zone. SSCX General Manager Mr. Dirk Soete was also honored as an "Outstanding Contributor" by the development zone. The awards were given in recognition of Siemens' and Mr. Soete's contributions to the economic and social development in Xi'an. (January 2006)

Siemens China was awarded as one of the "Most Influential Multinationals in China 2005". This is the second year in a row that Siemens China has won this prestigious award, which is jointly organized by China Business News, China International Intellectech Corporation and Horizon Research Corporation. Dr. Klaus Wucherer, Member of the Corporate Executive Committee of Siemens AG was honored with an appointment of "Guest Professor" by Nanjing Southeast University. The honor was given in recognition for Siemens' long-term engagement and contribution to foster education as well as technological and research co-operation with Southeast University and other leading universities in China. Siemens China received "2005 China Best Citizenship Conduct" award in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the corporate citizenship activities in China. The award was given by 21st Century Business Herald, one of the most influential business newspapers in China. (December 2005)

Siemens China was honored with the Award of "Best Fortune 500 Invested Companies in China' in the two categories of "Care for Employees" and "Best Public Image". Conferred by Southern Weekend, one of the most influential newspaper in China, the award was given based on criteria including investment volume, business performance, social responsibility performance, corporate culture, and contribution to the regions in China. Siemens Ltd., China Chengdu Branch was awarded "Chengdu Top 10 Best Employers" in recognition of its outstanding performance in offering good opportunities to employees in the areas of training, job rotation and personal development. Organized by CCTV, zhaopin.com, and Chengdu Business Daily, the award was given based on the results of a public voting, which lasted for two months and was participated by over 10,000 people via SMS or phone. Siemens Power Automation Ltd. (Nanjing) has been selected by residents and media in Nanjing as one of the "TOP 10 Employers of Nanjing 2005". The award was given based on the results of a public voting via SMS or phone. Parameters for the assessment included teamwork, recruitment, processes, work-life and employee satisfaction. Siemens Power Automation Ltd. received special recognition for its practices and policies in valuing and developing the employees. (December 2005)

Alberto Wisbeck, General Manager of Jinan-based Siemens Transformer Co., Ltd., received the Qilu Friendship Award, Shandong's highest honor for foreigners working in the province. Winning this award shows that Siemens contribution to the local economic and social development is fully recognized by the Shandong government. (November 2005)

On September 15th, Siemens China was honored with the "Guangming Corporate Citizenship Award" for the company's outstanding contribution to charity and public welfare in China. It is already the second year running that Siemens has received this prestigious award initiated by Guangming Daily, a leading official newspaper in China. (September 2005)

Shanghai's Tongji University presented Dr. Heinrich von Pierer, former President and CEO of Siemens AG with an "Honorary Doctor" title. He is only the fourth person to receive such a great distinction from Tongji University. This is a visible sign of recognition for Siemens' long-term contribution to foster education as well as technology and research co-operation. (November 2004)
