Siemens donates Discovery Boxes to needy school children

On the occasion of one-year anniversary of Siemens' "Discovery Box" program in China, Siemens today donated a batch of Discovery Boxes to Gaobeidian Central Primary School, making it the largest donation program of Siemens China targeted at pre-school students. Mr. Bernd Eitel, Vice President of Siemens China attended the donation ceremony held in a suburb of Beijing and delivered 40 boxes to the school.  (Nov 2008)

 
 

Siemens Cares for School Children in Sichuan

Siemens donated 100 sets of "Discovery Boxes" to Chengdu Paotongshu Primary School today to inspire the interest of the newly back to school children in science and enhance their passion for learning. This is the third major donation Siemens made to the earthquake-stricken areas further to its donation of 2 million RMB and medical equipment and water filters worth of over 4 million RMB shortly after the earthquake.(May 2008) 

 
 

Siemens Deepens R&D Cooperation with Tongji University

Siemens China entered into a Center of Knowledge Interchange Agreement with Tongji University today to further enhance the bilateral cooperation in Research and Development. The CKI relationship is the highest level of university cooperation in Siemens. A 5 year framework agreement for R&D collaboration, value at multi-million RMB each year, was jointly signed by Siemens and Tongji University, while Siemens Center of Knowledge Interchange was also unveiled in Tongji University today. Prof. Gang Wan, Minister of Science & Technology of China, Dr. Annette Schavan, Federal Minister of Education and Research of Germany, Prof. Klaus Wucherer, Executive Advisor to CEO of Siemens and Prof. Gang Pei, President of Tongji University attended the signing ceremony in Shanghai. Siemens Deepens R&D Cooperation with Tsinghua University

Siemens China entered into a Center of Knowledge Interchange Agreement with Tsinghua University today to further enhance the bilateral cooperation in research and development, marking the first of such arrangement by Siemens in Asia. Mr. Zhang Yaoxue, Scholar at the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Director-general of Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education, Dr. Hausmann, President and CEO of Siemens China and Prof. Kejun Kang, Vice President of Tsinghua University attended the signing ceremony held in Beijing and endorsed the two agreements. "Siemens Day of Science & Technology Education" joinly held at Fu Ning Xiang Elementary School in Hangzhou

"Siemens Day of Science & Technology Education" was officially launched today at Fu Ning Xiang Elementary School in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. As a showcase of successful partnership between MNC and local school, the project aims to further promote the development of science & technology education among next generation in China. The "Science & Technology Day" consisted of many interesting activities including guided tour at Science & Technology Museum, "Future Star of Science & Technology" Competition, Exhibition on student's science works as well as professor lecture on science education. Meanwhile, Siemens also announced today to donate "Discovery Boxes" to the primary school to help raise students' interest in science. The "Science & Technology Day" is another visible sign of Siemens' deepened involvement and contribution in China's science & technology education under the global umbrella of "Siemens Generation 21". Siemens signs cooperation agreement with Beijing Jiaotong University

On Jan 8th, 2007, Siemens and Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) signed an agreement on overall strategic cooperation. The ceremony not only marks a milestone in the partnership development between Siemens and BJTU, but also demonstrates Siemens' long-term commitment, continuous support and contribution to China's higher education as well as Chinese railway industry. "Siemens Scholarship" to Beijing Sport University's outstanding Students awarded

On January 10, 2008, to 40 outstanding students of Beijing Sports University Siemens China awarded the "Siemens Scholarship Award". The scholarship has a total value of one million RMB. (January 2008)

 
 

Siemens Donates Discovery Box to Gaochun County, Jiangsu Province

Siemens today donated Siemens Discovery Box to Gaochun county, Jiangsu province in Gucheng Elementary School. The donation ceremony is also the kick off ceremony for Discovery Box project in Jiangsu province which is under the global umbrella of "Siemens Generation 21". (November 2007)

A&D Region Southwest made donation to a Jintang Zhuhao Tuanjie Primary School

Under "Siemens Generation 21", Region SW launched its own project named "Light of Education" in 2006. As the first "Light of Education" campaign, they selected Jintang Zhuhao Tuanjie Primary School as the target school. (September 2007)

Long-term commitment to Chinese higher railway education reaffirmed Siemens and Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) today signed an agreement on overall strategic cooperation. The ceremony not only marks a milestone in the partnership development between Siemens TS and SWJTU, but also demonstrates Siemens' long-term commitment and contribution to China's railway higher education.
