Siemens Hearing Instruments Suzhou Donated Hearing Aids to the Female Mayor Charity Fund

On May 17, 2009, while on the occasion of international day of disabled person,  Siemens Hearing Instruments (Suzhou) Co.,Ltd. donated hearing-aids, worth ofRMB678,600 to the Female Mayor Charity Fund to help Chinese deaf children. The company' s Managing Director Mr. Fu Jian Tong and CFO Mr. Schuhmacher attended the donation ceremony. The fund was jointly established by Mr. Tao Siliang, President of Sub Commission of Female Mayor, China Association of Mayors and Audiology Development Foundation of China and Mr. Yan Mingguang, President of Shanghai Yan Bao Hang Public Philanthropic Foundation, with a mission to leverage resources from government, charitable organizations, medical services and enterprises to strengthen the prevention of deaf diseases and aid for the deaf children.  (May 2009)

 
 

Siemens donated mobile water treatment system for Wuxi Red Cross

Siemens donated 1 million RMB (about 97 thousand euros) worth of Siemens mobile Memcor Intensive water purifying system to Wuxi Red Cross. The system has been installed at Wuxi Maternity and Child Health Care Center. Today, Siemens and Wuxi Red Cross jointly signed the donation agreement. (July 2007)

 
 

Siemens supports rural healthcare in China

Siemens kicked off a 5-year rural healthcare project with a total investment volume of US$ 10 million. The project which is supported by China's Ministry of Health shall help to sustainably improve healthcare in rural areas of China. The project is part of Siemens' contribution of the Clinton Global Initiative to support the development of poorer areas in emerging countries. (April 2007)

 
 

Siemens future leaders committed to corporate social responsibility

Siemens Management Institute (SMI) and the fresh graduates of its Management Learning Program S5 and S4 donated RMB 28,200 to support the construction of a vegetable greenhouse at the Chaoyang Healing School to help provide an ideal environment for the rehabilitation of mentally handicapped children in the school. Siemens cares for hearing-impaired children

Siemens donated 2,000 advanced digital hearing aids valued over RMB 10 million to the China Foundation for Disabled Persons on the occasion of "China Helping Disabled Day" fast approaching on May 21st. Since 1987, Siemens has worked with Chinese partners to promote the welfare of the hearing- impaired, introducing advanced hearing rehabilitation methods to China and donating hearing aids to children in need. To date, over 40,000 hearing-impaired people have benefited from Siemens' contribution. (May 2006)

 
 

Siemens supports China's rural healthcare

Siemens donated RMB100,000 to "Lifeline Express" to support China's efforts to improve rural healthcare. "Lifeline Express" is a mobile eye surgical hospital train under the charity organization Chinese Foundation for Lifeline Express, dedicated to offering free cataract operations for people from remote and poverty-stricken areas and restoring the eyesight of rural residents who live in both poverty and darkness. The donation will be used for the mobile hospital. (January 2006)
